Digi-Key Electronics Announces Global Partnership with QuickLogic Corporation through the Digi-Key Marketplace Platform
Digi-Key Electronics, the world's leading distributor of off-the-shelf electronic components with the widest range and fastest delivery, has announced a global partnership with QuickLogic® Corporation to distribute QuickLogic's low-power, multi-core MCU, FPGA and embedded FPGA, voice and sensor processing families through the DigiKey marketplace.
QuickLogic is a fabless semiconductor company that practices its QuickLogic Open Reconfigurable Computing (QORC) initiative, using open source FPGA tools.
Digi-Key Electronics and QuickLogic have partnered to bring their low power semiconductor and processor family to the Digi-Key market platform.
With the addition of QuickLogic products to the Digi-Key Marketplace, customers now have a complete ultra-low power software and hardware solution that can turn ideas into designs in a matter of days, software tools such as Zephyr, FreeRTOS, SymbiFlow and Renode.
Whether customers are adding always-on wake-up word detection, deploying AI inference models at the edge/endpoint, or want a low-power Arm® Cortex®-M4F MCU based on fully open source software, QuickLogic EOS™ S3 Series SoCs have a solution for you. The product portfolio includes:
EOS S3 MCU Sensor Processing Platform: With an integrated Arm Cortex-M4F MCU and an embedded FPGA (eFPGA) core, customers can quickly turn ideas into prototypes and get them into volume production. The platform is supported by easy-to-use, low-cost development kits and open source software toolchains (Zephyr, FreeRTOS) as well as QuickLogic's FPGA user tools. EOS S3 Voice + Sensor Hub: Support concurrent sensor processing with voice recognition. Ultra-low power solution supports long battery life without sacrificing user experience. EOS S3-AI: An all-inclusive, low-power solution and development environment that economically incorporates the benefits of AI into endpoint applications. QuickFeather Development Kit: QuickFeather is small, Feather-compatible, affordable, and fully supported by open source tools. With a Cortex®-M4F MCU and integrated eFPGA, the on-board EOS S3 enables you to innovate with full open source software and hardware. Qomu Development Kit: Using a very low power embedded processor and low power FPGA technology makes Qomu the perfect development platform, especially for edge IoT applications and AI/machine learning capabilities. The miniature board plugs directly into a USB Type-A port and can be designed to go anywhere.
QuickLogic products are optimized for ultra-low power consumption, making them ideal for IoT and consumer mobile applications," noted Anissa Lauer, senior product manager for marketing at Digi-Key. In addition, Digi-Key is already offering a basic version of its QuickLogic subsidiary, SensiML® Analysis Toolkit. As a result, our customers now have a complete software and hardware solution to accelerate the ideation and design process."
SensiML's Analysis Toolkit provides customers with a complete AI development workflow, complete with data collection, tagging, model generation and testing/validation of embedded AI.
Digi-Key has an extremely broad range of electronic components worldwide," said Brian Faith, CEO of QuickLogic. Selling through Digi-Key Electronics provides engineers with an easy way to order devices, kits and software tools, thus increasing user access to our products. We look forward to working with Digi-Key and further expanding the reach of our business."
